JOB DESCRIPTION
Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant post of Head Mechanic which has arisen in the organisation
Duties and Responsibilities
- To carry out day to day servicing of all council vehicles
- Attend outside breakdowns and able to work on weekends
- To do services of the heavy plant for the council
- Keep records of spare parts
- Prepare the annual budget for the workshop section
- Prepare monthly workshop reports
- Any other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
- Diesel Plant and Fitter qualification
- At least 5 years relevant experience
- Age 27 to 50 years
- Clean Class 1 or 2 Driver’s licence
