POST C: HEAD INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

• Develop and implement I.C.T. strategies and policies that enhance business effectiveness, efficiency and profitability.
• Implement disaster recovery strategies to minimize adverse effects on business performance arising from loss of I.C.T. services.
• Develop and implement information security measures that safeguard the organisation’s ICT infrastructure and protects the business from unauthorised access to equipment and information.
• Manages and maintains Zimpost’s ICT Infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Maintain service level agreements with external providers including local and international partners.
• Provide Management Information Systems, including the ERP system, front/back office systems that support and enhance the decision making process.
• Identify emerging technologies that can enhance business processes and improve service delivery.
• Oversees ICT Projects from conception to completion ensuring timely delivery and adherence to the budget.
• Ensure robust data security measures are in place to protect sensitive information and comply with regulations.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
• Approve and purchase hardware, software and other accessories within authorised limits. Recommends to management suppliers and brands of I.T. products.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

• A University degree in Information and Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is essential.
• Post graduate qualification, MBA, MBL, M.Sc. in Information and Technology.
• A minimum of 5 Years’ working experience, 3 of which must be at a managerial level in an ICT environment.
• Project Management Certification such as PMP or Prince2 will be an added advantage.
