Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and coordinating activities of Cooks and other food preparation workers
- Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Regulations at the shop floor level
- Checking freshness of food and ingredients
- Training and inducting cooks and other food preparation workers
- Planning of menus to ensure serving of quality, nutritious meals
- Developing recipes and determining how to present the food
- Overseeing the preparation of food at various function sites
- Engaging clients and ensuring that food service is provided to satisfactory levels
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of food and supplies
- Monitoring sanitation practices and following kitchen safety standards

Requirements
- at least a Higher National Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management plus at least two (2) years post qualification experience
- or a National Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management plus at least four (4) years post qualification experience.
