Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the Hatchery Supervisor position which has arisen rin one of our farming/agriculture SBU.
The role shall be responsible for supervision of the day-to-day operations of the hatchery including machine maintenance and chick deliveries. The role reports to the Hatchery Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily tasks for all hatchery team,
• Supervise egg grading, setting transfer, hatch, vaccinations and chick dispatch
• Plan chick dispatch with marketing and logistics
• Ensure all biosecurity standards are implemented and observed by all staff and visitors
• Ensure all routine maintenance is carried out and documented
• Supervise all hygiene swabbing for the hatchery and collection of samples to the lab
• Ensure hatchery yard is well maintained

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience in a poultry hatchery.
• Hands-on experience is a must
• Understanding of machine operations
• Demonstrate ability to carry out minor repairs on hatchery equipment
