Position: Graphics Graduate Intern

Location: Harare

Duration of training: 12 Months

Summary of responsibilities

The Graphics Intern shall be directly responsible for the overall design and illustrative /graphic/visuals for SAYWHAT, working collaboratively with the different units to produce IEC material and studio visuals.

Duties And Responsibilities

Create information and communication materials on behalf of SAYWHAT
Come up with designs and message for SAYWHAT visuals.
Document program activities, creating audio and video clips for SAYWHAT
Think creatively and develop new design concept for graphics and layouts for SAYWHAT
Updating and maintaining SAYWHAT’s social media platforms.
Working with a range of media and keeping up to date with emerging technologies
Administrative tasks and the provision of assistance to senior leadership as required

Person Specifications

Diploma in tine Arts, Applied Art and Design, Printing and Graphic Arts or any related field.
At least 1 year of experience in Graphic Arts and publications experience.
Knowledge in videography is an added advantage.
Knowledge of public health, child protection and education is an added advantage.

Key competencies

• A strong eye for visual composition.

• Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools and computer aided design.

• Demonstrable graphic skills with a strong portfolio.

• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Understanding of marketing, production, web design, product packaging and multimedia design.

• Good interpersonal skills, including team working and networking skills.
