Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Health Coordinator.
- Managing the front office and professionally attending to visitors, calls and correspondence.
- Drafting letters, reports, minutes, memoranda and other official documents.
- Maintaining accurate filing systems for reports, minutes, statistics and health records.
- Scheduling meetings, appointments and field visits for the Health Coordinator.
- Preparing meeting notices, agendas and taking minutes during meetings.
- Compiling periodic health reports and consolidating institutional data for submission to the Health Coordinator and Diocese leadership.
- Assisting in the preparation of presentations, briefing papers and updates on health matters.
- Assisting in communication between the Diocese, hospitals, clinics and Government Ministries, particularly the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
- Coordinating communication with stakeholders including ZACH and other Church-related health bodies.
- Assisting in organizing meetings of the Diocesan Health Advisory Board and other health-related committees.
- Supporting monitoring and supervision activities at diocesan health institutions.
- Assisting in documenting policy issues, operational challenges and institutional needs raised by health facilities.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Health Coordinator.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate must be a recent graduate possessing a Degree or Diploma in Administration, Health Services Management, Public Administration, Secretarial Studies, Development Studies or related field.
- Good command or English language;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Knowledge of report writing, records management and data compilation;
- At least 1 year relevant administrative or health-sector experience will be an added advantage;
- Be not more than 30 years old.
