The Mining Promotion Corporation (MPC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and committed professionals to take up positions in its structures. MPC is a professional and economic mineral exploration and development company with title to a portfolio of diversified mineral properties in all the Mining Districts in Zimbabwe. We are in search of qualified:
Responsibilities:
- Processing of geophysical data and interpretation using software.
- Carrying out geophysical surveys.
- Carrying out data quality control and assurance.
- Planning and budgeting for projects.
- Exploration targets generation and selection.
- Maintaining and disseminating accurate exploration and other relevant information.
- Maintain a motivated workforce
- Effectively utilize available resources
- Carry out contractor management
- Carry out S.H.E programs to comply v/ith MPC and international standards
- Carry out report writing
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Geophysics
- 3-5 years exploration and mining experience.
- Knowledge of geophysical methods and mineralisation models
- Project/ camp management experience
- Hands-on experience with some GIS software an added advantage.
- Experience in operating airborne geophysics equipment an added advantage
- Financial budgeting and control skills
- A clean Class 4 Drivers licence, ability to drive 4×4 manual transmission a must.
