Job Summary
We are seeking an ambitious, energetic, results oriented and purpose driven Geologist to join our mining company.

Duties And Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
 Grade control, modelling reconciliation and reporting.
 Develop and apply knowledge of the local geology and the impact of local geological conditions on mine operations and ore feed to the process plant.
 Geological modelling, estimation and evaluation drilling.
 Planning, exploration and evaluation of resources.
 Interpret geological and sampling (essay) data.
 Populate drilling and mapping dataset into Geological databases and ensuring data integrity.
 Provide geological support to Mine Operators, Process Plant Operators and the Environmental team.
 Maintain the geological wireframe model.
 Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly information and technical reports.
 Maintain the geological database.
 Promote, support and implement sound environmental and safety management practices in line with legislation and mine policies and procedures.
 Minimize external dilution contamination of the ore feed.
 Provide visible safety leadership in the course of all project engagements.

Qualifications And Experience

 Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or equivalent.
 Experience in production geology role with strong technical skills.
 At least 1-5 years of experience in Mining environment.
 Able to work a flexible schedule which includes day and night shift.
 Valid Driver’s License
 Computer literate
 Microsoft Office Suite, GeoSoft, Vulcan, Surpac, AutoCad etc
 Petrographic microscope
 Field mapping
