Key Responsibilities
- Drive the organisation’s mandate as a leading professional body, locally and regionally.
- Oversee stakeholder learning and development, including continuous improvement of professional qualifications, CPD compliance and industry education standards.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with corporate members, academic institutions, international affiliate boards, industry associations and regulators.
- Ensure fiscal sustainability, sound governance and effective operational management of the Institute’s events and activities.
- Establish, maintain and continuously improve governance standards that support ethical, efficient and legally compliant business practices.
- Lead the digitisation and modernisation of the organisation’s systems while driving continuous improvement across operations.
- Serve as Secretary to the Board and its Committees.
- Implement performance management through the Resource-Based Performance Management System.
- Ensure timeous performance evaluations and foster a high-performance culture.
Requirements
- A first degree in Business Administration, Marketing Management, Accountancy, Economics, Education, Risk and Insurance, or an equivalent qualification.
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Strategy and Innovation, Strategic Management, or a related field.
- Degrees must have been obtained from credible and recognised institutions of learning. Honorary degrees will not be considered.
- An insurance professional certification or diploma in education will be an added advantage.
- At least 10 years’ senior management experience in the financial services or education sector, with expertise in achieving excellent educational standards, developing e-learning programmes and e-libraries, talent management, brand management, strategic planning, and team supervision.
- Familiarity with the financial services sector is an advantage.
- A proven track record in management, strategic planning, change management, project management, financial management, and human resources management.
- A proven track record in organisational governance, corporate strategy development, and Board reporting.
- Proven negotiation and diplomatic skills.
- Excellent personal integrity and high standards of ethical conduct.
