Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Operations: Provide strategic leadership across all departments, build high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Guest Experience: Deliver exceptional guest experiences at every touchpoint and drive a culture where every interaction exceeds expectations.
  • Commercial & Financial Performance: Drive revenue, profitability and growth through budgeting, revenue management, cost control, business planning and strong partner relationships.
  • Stakeholder, Community & Conservation Engagement: Build strong relationships with government, tourism bodies, conservation partners and local communities while championing sustainability and responsible tourism.

Requirements

  • Significant senior leadership experience as a General Manager or Hotel Manager within a safari lodge, luxury hotel or boutique property.
  • Previous experience managing a luxury safari lodge, boutique resort or remote hospitality operation will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering exceptional guest satisfaction alongside strong commercial and financial performance.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, forecasting, revenue optimisation, business planning and owner expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience building productive relationships with government agencies, tourism authorities, conservation organisations, local communities and key stakeholders.
  • Experience working within an internationally recognised luxury hospitality brand is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of luxury service standards and personalised guest experiences.
  • Experience leading multicultural teams and creating highly engaged workplace cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with owners, guests, travel partners and strategic stakeholders.
  • Experience overseeing capital expenditure projects, asset management and preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Professional membership with a recognised hospitality or tourism body.
