Key Responsibilities
- Implement GBV programme interventions in compliance with donor agreements.
- Provide technical support to the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development on GBV service delivery and GBV Information Management System implementation.
- Support development of GBV Case Management curriculum.
- Build capacity of UNFPA implementing partners on GBV prevention, response, case management, and emergencies.
- Monitor programme implementation against annual work plans and budgets.
- Prepare quality monthly, quarterly, and annual programme reports.
- Coordinate advocacy and awareness campaigns on gender equality, women’s rights, and GBV.
- Integrate gender considerations into Sexual and Reproductive Health and Population programmes.
- Develop communication materials including brochures, posters, and awareness resources.
- Coordinate project meetings and follow up on agreed actions.
- Support collection, analysis, and dissemination of GBV programme data.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Gender Unit and Country Office.
- Prepare donor documentation, project summaries, conference papers, speeches, and briefing materials.
- Participate in donor meetings and public information activities.
- Develop advocacy materials including presentations, factsheets, and infographics.
- Strengthen GBV administrative data systems and support development of a national GBV database.
- Produce knowledge products that promote learning among government institutions, implementing partners, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Law, International Law, Development Studies, or a related field.
- At least seven (7) years of relevant professional experience.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Working knowledge of Shona and/or Sindebele is desirable.
- Zimbabwean nationality, legal residency, or refugee status in Zimbabwe.
- Extensive experience in gender programming and GBV prevention and response.
- Knowledge of GBV health systems strengthening and international human rights standards.
- Experience designing and facilitating training programmes.
- Familiarity with international GBV standards, guidelines, and Essential Services Packages.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Experience working with government institutions, communities, development partners, and international organisations.
- Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and database management.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
