VACANCY

• The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Supervise and mentor garage maintenance team.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and oversee complex repairs.
• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of parts.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training for the team.
• Prepare maintenance reports, including downtime and cost analysis.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment performance.
• Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities within the maintenance operations.
• Implement best practices for maintenance and repair processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Class 1 Journeyman Diesel Plant Fitter
• 10 years post apprenticeship experience, at least 5 years at Supervisory level
• Experience in a mining or heavy manufacturing industry environment is an added advantage.
• Valid class 4 driver’s licence.
