Project Summary
The Target Accelerate and Sustain Quality Care (TASQC) for HIV epidemic control is a USAID funded project. The goal of the TASQC program is to contribute to the achievement and sustainability of HIV epidemic control in Zimbabwe through the provision of technical, financial, and material support towards the management, coordination and provision of comprehensive clinical care services within the national HIV program. In partnership with the MOHCC and guided by national strategic plans for HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment, the TASQC program will support a package of interventions to strengthen health systems, specifically the bridge between facilities and community structures, the development of innovative, evidence-based models and, design of upgraded tools and relevant technologies to scale up high quality HIV prevention, care and treatment services.
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant will be supported by OPHID and seconded to Bulawayo City OI/ART departments and/or central hospitals. The Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant will be assigned to work at the heath facility under the guidance and technical supervision of the Sister-in-Charge and supported by the Pharmacist in Bulawayo City.
Key Responsibilities
Dispense correct medication including Anti-Retroviral (ART) to clients visiting a health facility; Assist in the provision of quality care, treatment, monitoring and enhanced adherence of clients to treatments provided as per protocol; Facilitate ART refills; Prompt collection and dispatch of client prescriptions; Correct and accurate assembling and labelling of prescriptions; Prompt and complete processing of dispensary requirements from stores at agreed reorder levels; Prompt response to queries and enquiries; Complete and temperature and humidity data logs daily.
Person Specification
5 O- level passes including Mathematics & English Language; A Certificate in Dispensing or equivalent; At least one year working experience as a Dispensary Assistant; Excellent customer service skills; Analytical and attention to detail.
