POST A: FOREMAN PLUMBER – GRADE 8 (5 POSITIONS)

REPORTS TO: WORKS SUPERINTENDENT

LOCATION: Mabelreign/ Marlborough / Mt Pleasant Works, Hatfield/ Waterfalls Works, Mabvuku/ Tafara Works, Glen View/ Budiriro/ Mufakose Works, Sewerage Workshop

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for planning and organising of installations and repairs on the water and sewer distribution network to ensure the continuous provision of water and sewer services to communities.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Plans and prepares for the maintenance and repair of water and sewer distribution network.
Prepares inspection schedules for water and wastewater pump stations.
Conduct blockage fixing and attend to leakages in valves, meters and liaise with the Plumber attending to those areas.
Performance monitoring and management.
Develop and submit progress reports to the Superintendent on operational issues carried out.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Skilled Worker Class “1” Plumbing Certificate.
National Craft Certificate in Plumbing / Drain laying.
Drainlayers licence.
Clean Class four (4) drivers licence a must.
Five (5) years’ post qualifying experience.
