VACANCY 

Chiredzi Town Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill vacancies in the Housing and Community Services Department.

Qualifications and Experience

1. At least 5 O Level subjects, including English Language, Science, and Mathematics.

2. Age between 18 and 24 years.

3. Physically fit and able to withstand heights and enclosed spaces.

4. Ability to work in a team and solve problems.

5. No criminal record.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to fire, rescue, and emergency calls.

• Operate and maintain firefighting equipment (hoses, pumps, ladders, breathing apparatus).

• Rescue individuals and animals from life-threatening situations.

• Provide emergency first aid before ambulance service arrives.

• Participate in fire prevention and inspection programs in the community.

• Conduct routine checks, servicing, and cleaning of firefighting tools and fire trucks.

• Assist in investigating fire causes under senior officers’ direction.

• Participate in regular drills, physical fitness training, and continuous learning.

• Educate the public on fire safety and emergency preparedness.

• Maintain accurate incident reports and complete all required documentation after responses.
