Background

Pact Zimbabwe has been implementing Civic Engagement for Accountability & Democracy in Zimbabwe (CEADZ), a four-year project aimed at contributing to increased influence of Zimbabwean citizens acting collectively through formal and informal groups for more democratic and accountable governance. The project goal is underpinned by four core objectives:

  • Citizen advocacy and oversight strengthened at multiple levels;
  • Civil society organizations (CSOs) and coalitions advance implementation of constitutional provisions on accountability, participation, and civil and political rights;
  • Women and youth are empowered to drive change;
  • Women and youth have increased influence on decision-making at multiple levels.

Pact Zimbabwe is now closing the four-year CEADZ project and would like to prepare its staff for the future. The organization has therefore seen it fit to prepare staff for this offboarding process by engaging an external consultant to train and coach staff on financial literacy, budgeting, investing, writing business plans, and property investments. Some of the staff are considering moving into this direction considering that the project is coming to an end, and some may not be able to secure employment soon.

Purpose

The purpose of the workshop is to train staff to on financial literacy, budgeting, writing business plans, and investments.

Objectives

  • By end of training Pact staff can write and implement business plans;
  • By end of the training staff understand tips and tricks to successful interviews;
  • By the end of training staff have a fair understanding of the concept of budgeting and investing.

Roles and responsibilities of consultant

Train Pact staff on financial literacy.

Deliverables

Prepare a brief Workshop report on the assignment.

Scheduling

The expected day for the workshop is 6 August 2021.

Payment

Payment will be done after successful completion of the assignment and delivery of an approved report.

Reporting

The Consultant will be reporting to the Finance and Admin Manager during the assignment.
