Key Responsibilities
- Supervision of day to day payments process to ensure efficiency.
- Control of Administration and General Expenditure so that they adhere to the budget.
- Timeous purchasing of spare parts, raw materials and consumables, provide funds for plant repairs.
- Checking month-end journals input in the system and update.
- Reconciliation of trade and statutory creditors.
- Spot checking of security items and records including fuel coupons.
- Producing management accounts by the 10th day of each month.
- Supervision of quarterly stocktakes at Head Office in the absent of the Management Accountant.
- Producing company annual budget and reviews in line with the economic trends.
- Resolving internal and external audit queries.
- Producing Draft Financial Statements and compilation of the audit file.
- Updating Policies and Procedures manual.
Requirements
- Accounting or Finance degree.
- CA/ACCA or studying towards CA/ACCA or equivalent qualification is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in an accounting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Adept financial reporting skill
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to remain confidential.
