About the OrganisationYouth Forum Zimbabwe is a non-profit making organization that was formed in August 2004. It was formed as a response to the social exclusion of youth in political processes in Zimbabwe. The overall aim of the Youth Forum Zimbabwe is to enhance youth participation and empowerment in policy-dialogue and political decision-making. Youth Forum Zimbabwe is a membership-based, mandate-driven organization led by; and for the young people in Zimbabwe. Its members are passionate and committed to amplifying and strengthening the voice of the Zimbabwean youth within the political landscape.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services; Prepare and process invoices and coding payment documents; Prepare batches of invoices for data entry; Data entry invoices for payment; Banking duties withdrawing, cashing of Cheques; Record all cheques and prepare vendor cheques for mailing; Preparing financial reports for submission to partners and office use; Maintain all accountable forms including time sheets; Preparing financial budgets for funders and office use; Maintain a filing system for all financial documents; Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee files
Person specificationsHold a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or full CIS and at least 2 years’ experience; Experience in managing donor funds; Excellent computer skills and at least one accounting package
