A vacancy has arisen in the Finance Department of a leading Bulawayo based Pension Fund and applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Collect money market rates and make investment recommendations daily for all Fund and UND managed accounts.
  • Compute investment income due and maintain money market investments daily.
  • Analyse and report on cash flows daily.
  • Assist in production of budgets including production of interest and dividend income projections for the budget annually or as and when required.
  • Record, post and reconcile foreign investment activities to assist in the production of periodic financial reports as and when required.
  • Supervise the work of subordinates in property management daily.
  • Produce, analyse and appraise reports on investment proposals as and when required by management.
  • Check, record, analyse and report on equity investment transactions and asset manager reports monthly.
  • Check and sign banking instructions as and when necessary.
  • Assess and make recommendations on contracts and quotations in accordance with Fund rules and policies.
  • Monitor performance of investment portfolios and make recommendations to drive performance and achieve optimum returns.
  • Keep abreast of trends and developments in the market and advise Management on opportunities and risks.
  • Attend to audit issues and queries as and when required.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Possession of at least a degree in Accounting or Finance and Investments or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a computerised accounting and Finance environment
