Vacancy : Finance Manager

The job exists  to provide   accounting services regarding  documentation  capturing  , analyzing  and preparation  of financial  reports  for  PRAZ

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Participates  in the development  and implementation  of department policies , procedures and systems
• Adheres to laid  down  policies  and procedures  regarding  all PRAZ`s   financial transactions
• Advises departments on finance  policies , policies , processes and procedures
• Prepares financial  statements  on the  financial  position  of PRAZ  and submits them  periodically  in line with  set  reporting  deadlines
• Prepares  all statutory  returns  and ensures that they are  paid for within  stipulated  deadlines
• Recommends financial  actions  to departments by  analyzing  accounting options
• Prepares  the Authority`s  budget  through coordination  and consolidation of departmental budget  inputs
• Participates  in budget  forecast  preparation  using  previous  year budget  and budget  forecast  comparative  reports
•  Evaluates  departmental  budgets  and provides recommendation  based  on overall  PRAZ  budget  guidelines and strategy
• Prepares  the monthly  management accounts  and ensures that they are submitted on time as per set  deadlines
• Carries out risk assessments and  continuous  improvements for  new  initiatives  and systems
• Responsible  for audit  preparation  and ensuring  that audits  are carried out in terms  of Public Finance Management  Act
• Supervises  the Finance   Department  personnel
• Carries out  any other duties as assigned by the Finance & Administration Director

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

• Degree in Finance /Accounting
• Must have a minimum  of five 5  years  working experience  in a similar environment
