Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking to hire a well-experienced and qualified Finance Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving financial efficiency, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment. The incumbent will act as a strategic partner to senior management, providing critical insights that influence operational and investment decisions, while championing cost optimization initiatives and implementing effective cost-saving programs. In addition, the Finance Manager will oversee cashflow management to safeguard liquidity, strengthen financial controls and governance structures, and ensure adherence to statutory and tax requirements.

 

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

• Prepare monthly management accounts.

• Review accounting records, financial statements, and reports for accuracy and compliance.

• Compare actual performance against budget and provide variance commentary.

• Update monthly accounts into the group’s reporting system (Horizon).

• Compile monthly management reports for the General Manager.

• Coordinate and assist with preparation of annual budgets.

• Prepare annual financial statements for the company.

• Attend to internal and external auditors.

 

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

 

• First Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Professional qualification from ICAZ or ACCA (mandatory).

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing or related industries.

• Strong appreciation of costings, cost-saving programs, and cashflow management.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems (ERP experience is an added advantage).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
