Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the vacant post of Finance Director within the Council’s Treasury Department. The incumbent will be reporting to Town Secretary. A highly motivated and mature person is needed for this position. The successful candidate must be a person of high integrity and honesty.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordination, formulation and implementation of Budget processes as per the requirements of the Urban Councils Act and the Public Finance Management Act
- Control and Administration of the Finance Department
- Providing financial advice to Council and its standing Committees
- Produce Financial Reports when required in line within the statutory deadlines.
- Head revenue collection processes to ensure sustainable service delivery
- Control expenditure commitments within set annual plans

- Analytics and Advisory

Requirements
- A degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized academic institute. A full CA, CIS ACCA or CIMA is also acceptable.
- At least three (3) years post qualification experience in a middle management accounting position
- A citizen of Zimbabwe
- Possession of a post-graduate qualification (eg MBA) is an added advantage
- No criminal record
- A clean record of service within the Public Sector is an added advantage
- In addition, the applicant should be a registered public accountant under PAAB
