VACANCY – FINANCE DIRECTOR

ROLE PROFILE

AFC Land and Development Bank, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings seeks to recruit a Finance Director. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in all financial and accounting functions for the Bank, ensuring sound financial management, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing strategic financial direction and advice to the Managing Director and the Board.

• Leading the formulation and implementation of financial strategies, policies, and systems.

• Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

• Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.

• Managing relationships with regulators, external auditors, and key stakeholders.

• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, statutory, and AFC Group financial requirements.

• Driving cost efficiency, financial risk management, and capital adequacy planning.

• Leading and developing the finance team to achieve high standards of performance and integrity.

Qualifications and Experience

• A qualified Chartered Accountant and a holder of a post graduate qualification such as MBA/MBL.

• At least 10 years progressive corporate working experience in financial management, with 5 years at senior management level in a financial institution or similar corporate environment.

• Proficient in fundraising and treasury operations.

• Demonstrated experience in strategic financial management, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
