Finance and Administration Officer

Key Responsibilities
Preparation and presentation of management accounts
Payment cycle management
Ensuring appropriate finance systems are maintained, and that all procedures and controls are adhered to.
Reviewing and recommending procedural changes to ensure compliance with policy and improve work processes.
Budgeting and budgetary control. Coordinating reports and budget implementation and reporting with the different church boards and committees.
Administration and staff management including evaluation of staff performance.
Managing the payroll.
Managing the maintenance of church assets.
Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Alerting and advising the church through the different boards and committees on any information requiring their attention for instance budget and monetary policy.
Person Specifications
Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Degree in Accounting and Finance Management
Minimum of three years working experience in a similar or related organisation.
Professional qualification in Finance and Accounting [e.g. CIS,ACCA] is an added advantage
High computer literacy: Working knowledge of Sage Pastel and Belina Payroll an added advantage.
Team player, self starter ,innovative, self assertive and sober
Works with minimum or nil supervision
A hands on person able to input transactions in Sage Pastel and Belina payroll.
