The Federation of Organizations of Disabled People in Zimbabwe [FODPZ], registered as a Private Voluntary Organisation in 2004 is a non-profit national disability umbrella organisation of Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs). The objective of its formation was to strengthen and unify the representative voice of OPDs and organizations of Parents of Children with Disabilities in Zimbabwe. The organisation seeks to facilitate collaboration, networking and coordination of its member organizations to acquire capacity, efficiency and effectiveness required in advocacy and lobbying aimed at improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities in Zimbabwe through disability inclusive by-laws, policies and legislation.
Duties And Responsibilities
Purpose of the function / role
The Finance and Administration Officer is responsible for supervision of the development and implementation of appropriate financial Systems to support the realization of the organization’s strategic objectives; grant management and compliance reporting; budgeting; preparation of financial statements, updating the Finance and administration Policies and capacity build team members and affiliate members. Qualifications And Experience
A degree in Finance / Accounting and / or professional qualifications such as CIMA, CIS, ACCA; A sound appreciation of use of different computer operating packages a must; Relevant post graduate qualifications and a clean driver`s licence are a distinct advantage
Experience
Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience within a non-governmental organisation; Traceable experience in working with OPDs and disability service organisations is a distinct advantage.
