Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Farm Manager to oversee the production of leafy vegetables, onions, and chillies on our farm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of farm operations, including crop planning, soil management, irrigation, pest and disease control, harvesting, and marketing.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement crop plans and production schedules to meet market demands
– Manage soil preparation, fertilization, and irrigation systems
– Oversee planting, pruning, and harvesting of leafy vegetables, onions, and chillies
– Monitor and control pests and diseases, and implement integrated pest management strategies
– Supervise and train farm workers to ensure efficient and safe farm operations
– Maintain accurate records of farm activities, yields, and financial performance
– Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders
– Implement sustainable farming practices and ensure environmental compliance

 

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field
– At least 5 years of experience in farm management, preferably in vegetable production
– Strong knowledge of crop management, soil science, and irrigation systems
– Proven leadership and management skills
– Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
– Familiarity with sustainable farming practices and environmental regulations
