An administrative support role for an established livestock farm specializing in cattle and goat rearing. The position involves managing daily office operations, financial records, and procurement while supporting the Farm Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record Keeping: Accurately maintain farm records, financial transactions, payroll, inventory, and production data.
  • Inventory & Stock: Monitor stock levels, process stock movements, conduct counts, manage supplies, and oversee receiving/issuing of items.
  • Financial Admin: Handle daily sales, cash reconciliation, petty cash, bank reconciliations, and assist with basic accounts/VAT submissions.
  • Procurement: Monitor farm procurement procedures and process orders for supplies, services, and equipment.
  • Customer Service: Manage incoming calls, greet visitors, provide information, and assist with sales/billing processes.
  • Reporting: Compile farm returns, management accounts, and prepare reports as needed.
  • General Admin: Type documents, manage mail, maintain office cleanliness, and perform other administrative duties.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Administration, Business management, Accounting or equivalent
  • 5 O’Levels including Mathematics achieved in one seating.
  • At least one year’s experience in administration in a farming environment preferably in livestock production.
  • Familiarity with farm month-end processes, supplies management and reporting.
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to maintain a pleasant and friendly working environment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative, being proactive in their approach to work
  • Excellent time management and timekeeping skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Must be well-groomed, confident and have a pleasant disposition
