Mutapa Gold Resources (based at Freda Rebecca Gold Mine in Bindura) Exploration Resource Geologist Role Purpose To join the Technical Services team and report to the Project Geologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures health, safety, environment and quality standards are maintained.
- Generates geological and orebody models.
- Estimates and evaluates mineral resources.
- Plans and manages evaluation drilling programs.
- Analyses data from mapping, drilling, channelling and produces resource models and grade control models.
- Validates geological data and maintains the geological database integrity.

- Monitors the quality of assays from local and external labs through QAQC analysis.
- Geostatistical analysis of data.
- Generates mineral resource reports and signs off as a competent person according to JORC.
- Carries out orebody modelling, estimation and evaluation of mineral resources.
- Generates standard operating procedures and implementation of Safety, Health and Environmental management systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Geology from a recognizable institution.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in gold resource modelling and estimation.
- Proven experience in resource modelling and estimation.
- Proficiency in Leapfrog and Datamine studio RM.
- Clean Class 4 driver’s license and Defensive Driving license is a must.
