VACANCY ALERT – FINANCE MANAGER

LOCATION – ZAMBIA

About the role

To play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. This position ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, drives strategic financial decisions, and leads the implementation of robust internal controls. The Finance Manager will provide leadership to the finance team and partners with senior management to drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.

Key Duties and responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis
* Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
* Analyze financial performance and provide insights to improve decision-making.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.

Financial Reporting

* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and applicable tax regulations.
* Liaise with auditors and oversee external audit processes. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
* Manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operational needs.
* Monitor working capital and optimize treasury operations.
* Oversee banking relationships and loan management.

Internal Controls & Compliance

* Design and implement internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and tax obligations.
* Review and update financial policies and procedures.

Strategic Support

* Provide financial input into strategic planning, investments, and risk management.
* Evaluate financial viability of projects, contracts, and partnerships.
* Support cost-reduction and revenue-enhancement initiatives.

Qualification and experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
* Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is strongly preferred.
* Minimum 5-8 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
