Key Responsibilities
- Supervise radio station operations, including programming, news and current affairs, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with the content requirements stipulated in the Broadcasting Services Act.
- Oversee producers, studio sessions, live broadcasts, and news bulletins.
- Ensure editorial integrity and high broadcast quality.
- Lead interface with resource persons, clients and representatives from regulatory authorities
- Develop new programmes and revamp existing flagship shows to retain listenership.
- Ensure broadcasting continuity and quality control.
- Achieve monthly revenue targets in liaison with the Manager.
- Ensure quality production and broadcast of adverts and sponsored programmes.
- Monitor market trends to improve client satisfaction and programming
- Implement professional updating skills training for producers.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Media/Journalism/Communication/Broadcasting or equivalent.
- A Master’s Degree in Media/Journalism/Communication/Broadcasting or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in radio production, broadcasting, or media management.
- Proficiency in audio editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition or related).
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and manage a team.
- A passion for radio, storytelling, and engaging campus communities.
- Technical knowledge of studio equipment will be an added advantage
