Reports to : Chief Executive Officer

Job Specification
Responsibilities of the position include inter allia
⦁ Providing strategic leadership to the planning function within the local authority
⦁ Advising management and council on all planning issues
⦁ Giving effect to the implementation of the council’s Master Plan and recommending review of same as need arises
⦁ Management of environmental section activities.

Person Specification
Applications must meet the following minimum qualifications:
⦁ Holder of an Honours degree in Rural and Urban Planning, Environmental Planning or any other relevant degree from a reputable University
⦁ Five years post qualification experience in similar role an added advantage
⦁ Experience in public sector added advantage
⦁ Membership to a recognized professional body- Zimbabwe Institute of Regional and Urban Planners.
⦁ Distinct computer skills such as Autocard ad GIS.
⦁ Gean class 4 driver’s licence
⦁ Police clearance
⦁ At least 30 years
