EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ISLAND HOSPICE & HEALTHCARE

Island Hospice and Healthcare a national palliative care organization with branches in Bulawayo, Harare, Marondera and Mutare is looking for a strategic leader to fill the post of Executive Director.

Reporting to a non-executive board of directors the role involves developing and managing strategic relationships and networks to complement the organizations mission.

The Executive Director provides direction, leadership and management oversight, develops strategic and business plans for the organization

Other key duties include project oversight, fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.

The ideal candidate should have the following competencies:

Fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support the organizations mission. Strategic thinking and sound strategic management .

Ability to lead a diverse team and manage relationships .

Business planning and development .

Finance and HR management Excellent verbal and written communications PR, networking and/or sound marketing skills Change management .

Health industry knowledge an advantage Knowledge of corporate governance and board processes Programme management an advantage

Qualifications:

MPH, MBA, MA in Development Minimum 5 years in similar position
