Zimbabwe School Examinations Council(ZIMSEC) is an Autonomous parastatal under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.It is an Internationally accredited examination board. ZIMSEC is an examination board responsible for assessment, evaluation and documentation of the examination readiness, learning progress, and skill acquisition of students at primary and secondary school levels in Zimbabwe. The council is inviting suitably qualified and motivated persons for the following vacant positions that has arisen

Duties And Responsibilities

 

Receive, process, investigate and even attend court cases on behalf of ZIMSEC malpractice cases and act accordingly i.e suppress ,release or cancel results. safeguard the integrity of ZIMSEC and bring perpetrators to book
Document malpractice cases and keep a record of them for future reference
Communicate results of malpractice cases to concerned parties
Attend to all queries on such issues so as to provide satisfactory answers to questions and let the public know that cheats got punished in order to safeguard the integrity of
ZIMSEC and maintain examination standards
Receive assess and approve applications for special arrangements in order to minimize the effects of the candidates• disability and hence ensure a fair assessment of the candidates performance and consistency in maintaining examination standards
Receive and process applications for special consideration and communicate results to concerned parties so that all candidates are assessed fairly despite the mishaps
Inspect examination centers SO as to ensure that standards are upheld and regulations are adhered to
Conduct spot checks before and during exam sessions
Attend Grade review meetings to establish the extent of cheating at centers especially concerning leakage of question papers
Delegate and supervise duties assigned to subordinates on outcomes of malpractice cases ,special arrangements and special consideration requests
Receive .assess and approve applications for timetable deviations
Attend marking sessions to establish the extent of cheating at centers Conduct examination administration workshops with heads of centers in all regions
Liaise with Regional Managers on pending examinations malpractice cases
Prepare statistics on cases of suspect.

Qualifications And Experience

 

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
5 Ordinary Levels including English Language plus 2 Advanced level passes
. A relevant degree
• Studying towards or Diploma in Law an added advantage
• 3 years working experience in an education related organization.
