Key Responsibilities

• Preparing tender and contract documents, including preparation of bill of quantities.
• Responsible for taking final measurements of each and every site before the job commences.
• Prepare an estimate of materials required for all construction works.
• Ensuring that all quotations are attached in the scope of works.
• Undertaking cost analysis construction works.
• Performing risk, value management and cost control.
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders.
• Ensuring that all drawings are signed by clients.
• Taking jobs into production with the signatures of all the relevant heads.
• Interpretation of drawings and designs.
• Assist procurement/stores in ordering specific stocks.
• Produce a material utilization report of each job.
• Planning of production process for jobs in the order book.
• Manage WIP i.e. ensure that all timelines and customer satisfactions are met.
• In charge of the quality control processes i.e. before, during and after.
• Coordination with the stores team in making sure that the BOQ items are available and issued items tally with the BOQ.
• Preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materials.
• Site visits, assessments and projections for future work.
• Making valuations and preparing and submitting final accounts.
• Providing advice and forecasts about costs.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the superiors.

Requirements

• Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying from a recognized technical institution.
• CCS Candy proficiency is a MUST.
• Project Management qualification an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in roads or building construction.
• A clean Class 4 driver’s license.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge in SHEQ Legal Requirements and the Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018) an added advantage.
