Vacancy : Environmental Health Technician Grade 11
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 O Levels including English, Mathematics and a Science subject
- Diploma in Environmental Health
- Environmental Health practicing certificate
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Local Government experience and a Degree in Environmental Health is an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct public health inspections and food quality monitoring on trading premises and other public institutions
- Solid Waste Management
- Water Quality monitoring on drinking water sources and ensure that water samples are collected for analysis using field techniques in compliance with SAZ standards
- Disease prevention and Control
- Health and hygiene promotion
- Implementation, enforcement of public health legislation and crafting of relevant public health by laws
- Building plan approvals in line with set standards
- Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned from time to time
