POSITION: ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (x5)
Reports To: Environmental Health Officer
Job Purpose:
To prevent the occurrence and control the spread of communicable diseases in the community through primary investigation of cases and dissemination of health information.
KEY RESULTS AREA
• Community Disease Investigation and Control.
• Solid waste management.
• Water and Food Safety monitoring.
• Attending to complaints of Public Health significance.
• Enforcement of Public Health By-laws.
• Health and Hygiene promotion.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must possess the following experience, qualifications and personal attributes:
• A National Diploma in Environmental Health.
• Registration with Environmental Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe.
• Current practicing certificate.
• Computer literacy.
• At least one -year practical working experience.
• Possession of a Drivers Licence will be an added advantage.
