Environment Management Officer-9
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions.
The incumbent reports to the Executive Officer Social Services and Environment
Duties And Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and supervise hunting activities in the district
• Develop and implement environmental management plans for Council projects
• Submits periodic and adhoc reports to the Executive Officer Social Services and Environment
• Initiate Eco-tourism projects on behalf of the Local Authority
• Community mobilisation and attending to community outreach programmes on issues concerning the environment and natural resources.
. Formulation of contractual agreements with safari operators
• Provide technical support to Natural Resources Committee
• Ensure the sustainable management and utilization of both flora and fauna
• Provide technical expertise to minimise Human wildlife conflict
Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications
• A Bachelor of Science Honours Degree Wildlife Ecology and Conservation/ or relevant qualification
• Five ordinary level including English Language
• Should hold a clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence
