Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task-oriented persons to fill in the following positions that have arisen within Masvingo Rural District Council.
ENVIRONMENT CLERK
CLASSIFICATION : GRADE 6
ACCOUNTABLE TO: EXECUTIVE OFFICER ENVIRONMENT AND AGRICULTURE
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
❖ Diploma or Degree in Geography and Environmental Studies /Sciences, Natural Resources Management or related fields
❖ At least one year working experience in Local Authority Environment
❖ Class (4) drivers’ license is an added advantage.
❖ Must be between 25 and 45 years of age.
DUTIES
❖ Environmental Mapping using GIS
❖ Assist in Environmental Training and Education.
❖ Environmental Inspection, monitoring and By Laws enforcement
❖ Assist in the Implementation and monitoring of Environmental and Agricultural projects.
❖ Compile, update Mines and sand extraction database
❖ Monitoring rehabilitation of Mined areas.
❖ Assist in Presidential Cleanup programs.
❖ Supervise and Monitor Refuse collection in the Township
❖ Carry out auctions of Livestock in the District
❖ Assist in the preparation and Participation at Agricultural shows and other related floras.
❖ Assist in the preparation of Departmental Budgets.
❖ Any other duties assigned by the HOD
