Job Summary
The Enumerator will be required to attend a training workshop, receive enumeration materials and equipment from the Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant, conduct Key Informant interviews and Focus Group Discussions with community members and concisely record all quantitative information on mobile phones. The Enumerator will check data for completeness and accuracy, report all relevant observations to the research team and submit all literature and materials used in the survey to the MEAL Assistant
DUTIES
Pre-Enumeration duties:
Attend enumerators’ training workshop
Receive enumeration materials and equipment from the Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant
Develop an enumeration schedule/itinerary
Enumeration duties:
Conduct Key Informant interviews and Focus Group Discussions with community members
Concisely record all quantitative information on mobile phones.
Record all qualitative data on notebooks.
Report all relevant observations to research team.
Comply with the requirements necessary for conducting a successful interview
Post-Enumeration duties:
Ensure that enumerator checking is complete
Ensure that all questionnaires and equipment are accounted for
Turn over all literature and materials used in the survey to the principal investigator
Compliance & Ethics:
Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.
REQUIREMENTS
Passed at least 5 ‘O’ Level subjects (including English) with symbol C or better
Willingness to work in remote rural areas.
Ability to work with minimal supervision individually or as part of a team.
Must be deadline-oriented and have excellent attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills; and Facilitation skills.
Ability to speak, read and write local languages.
Previous enumeration experience is an added advantage
