ENGINEERING MANAGER

EXPERTISE & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Minimum technical qualification of B Eng Mechanical, Chemical or Control Systems Engineering degree.
• Engineers with 4 – 6 years experience, preferably with multi-discipline project or engineering exposure in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industry.
• Registered with ECSA as a Pr Tech Eng or at minimum proof of Pr. Eng application submission to ECSA.
• Experience working on multi-discipline projects.
• Experience working in a liaising capacity on PGS/EPC projects will be an advantage.
• Experience in typical contracting formats (NEC 3 preferred).
• Self-starter with good people skills.
• Computer literate.
• Formal project management training / coursework / education will be an advantage.
• Valid Code B/EB Driver’s license.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Functions on the execution phase in line with contract requirements.
• Identify and appoint all resources (including sub-contracted services) for each project.
• Ensure coordination of all technical and commercial interfaces between participants.
• Coordinate engineering functions.
• Procurement and commercial interfacing with proper contact management.
• Management and progress reports as requested.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Assisting with the advancement of business development.
• Engagement with existing and new prospective clients to ensure continuity of work.
