Job Summary
A mining company seeks the services of a mature, self motivated and experienced person to fill the above position that has arisen in the Engineering Department
Reporting to the General Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for running the Projects. Plant & Equipment Engineering Function.
Duties And Responsibilities
THE JOB
A Project scoping and implementation.
. Liaising with project contractors for successful and timeous implementation of the projects
• Driving the projects to completion and successful commissioning of the projects
• Ensuring that maintenance targets are met to achieve optimum operations performance.
A Leading the Engineering team in all aspects of people management.
Ensuring effective Plant availability.
A Leading and monitoring a robust preventative maintenance system.
• Ensuring that Plant and equipment conform to all legal requirements.
• Preparation of projects and capital budgets and ensuring their implementation.
Qualifications And Experience
THE PERSON
A University degree from a recognised institution in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 5 years relevant experience in similar position preferably in the Mining industry
A member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers and/or any other professional body
Knowledge ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
