Job Summary
The above position has arisen in our organisation and applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified persons. The incumbent will be responsible for the Engineering Department reporting to the General Manager.
Duties And Responsibilities
THE JOB
• Ensuring that maintenance targets are met to achieve optimum operations performance.
• Leading the Engineering team in all aspects of people management.
• Ensuring effective Plant availability.
• Leading and monitoring a robust preventative maintenance system.
• Ensuring that Plant and equipment conform to all legal requirements.
• Scoping and implementing capital projects
• Budgeting and budgetary controls for operations and projects for Engineering department.
Qualifications And Experience
THE PERSON
• A University degree from a recognised institution in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years relevant experience in similar position preferably in the Mining industry
• A member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers and/or any other professional body
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
