Job Summary
Jacob Bethel Corporation Zimbabwe (PVT) Ltd is a manufacturer and supplier of mining, mineral processing and ancillary equipment to the mining, quarrying, construction, and other industries. It is also a supplier of wholesale LPGas and industrial lubricants. JBC is one of the strongest players in manufacturing and sale of engineering equipment and spares. The organization is searching for an agile, skilled, Engineering Foreman with impeccable leadership qualities to join the JBC team.
Duties And Responsibilities
Planning and coordinating work in an efficient manner with employees and subcontractors
Manage maintenance planning
Quality assurance, in-process validation and quality inspection of product and raw material
Ability to develop skills through training and mentorship programs
Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety
Performing full lifecycle product development
Improving production processes, and planning and supervising the installation of machinery and parts in line with design plans
Breakdown management
Customer complaint handling ,Project management
Performance analysis and reporting
Check drawings, materials and equipment for conformity with specifications.
Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
Maintain compliance with legislative and environmental requirements and ensure risk assessments have been done.
Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety
Test and evaluate theoretical designs
REQUIREMENTS
Tertiary qualification in Mechatronics/Mechanical/ Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering or related fields.
Ability to interpret 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools
Knowledge of the Factories and Works Act and relevant regulations
Background knowledge in systems certification particularly ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018
5 years working experience.
At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position is an added advantage
Background in manufacturing of engineering and mining equipment.
Beneficial to have strong project management and planning skills
A clean driver’s license is an added advantage
