CLOSED CONTRACT VACANCY: ENGINEERING CONSULTANT
Applications are invited from experienced, results oriented and suitably qualified persons for the above-mentioned six-month closed contract position which has arisen at a mining company.
Responsible to: General Manager
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
– Advise the General Manager on the appropriateness of the refurbishment plan in relation to the outcomes that the project seeks to achieve and align plan to expected outcomes.
– Liaise with the Engineering Manager and advise as necessary.
– Oversee the work of contractors and advise as necessary to ensure timelines and quality specifications are met.
– Identifying possible areas for improvement and advising the General Manager of same.
– Compiling monthly reports and other ad hoc reports as mandated by the General Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
– Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering from recognized institutions.
– Minimum of 15 years experience in Engineering and maintenance management
– Experience and knowledge of Phosphate flotation plants at Senior Management Level will be a distinct advantage.
– High level computer literacy.
– Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.
– Team player and ability to work under minimal supervision.
– Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001standards.
