POSITION : ENGINEER / SENIOR (1 POSITION)
GRADE : 8/7
REPORTS TO : PLANNING, PROJECTS AND
TECHNICAL SERVICES ENGINEER
LOCATION : CABS CENTRE
DEPARTMENT : HARARE WATER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the above vacant position.
Job Objectives
Responsible for development of all water-related projects’ scoping, planning, costing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
KEY RESULT AREAS
• Initiate drafting of project parameters, including budgeting and implementation plan.
• Monitoring and evaluation of all engineering and technical services projects in the department.
• Management of communication of project activities, progress and exceptions through weekly and monthly update reports.
• Management of project assets
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• University degree in Civil Engineering
• Corporate Membership of the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers or any relevant Institution and registration with Engineering Council of Zimbabwe.
• At least three (3) years post qualifying experience, a major part of which must have been in water and wastewater engineering and management.
• Computer literacy in engineering software AutoCAD, MS Project and Microsoft packages.
• Experience in management of engineering Projects is essential.
• A clean class four driver’s license is an added advantage.
