POSITION : ENGINEER (4-1) ELECTRICAL
(1 POSITION)
GRADE : 8/7/6
REPORTING TO : ELECTRICAL SERVICES ENGINEER
LOCATION : CABS CENTRE
DEPARTMENT : HARARE WATER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for appointment in the above vacant position in the Installation and Maintenance Division of Harare Water
Department.
Job Objectives
Responsible for design, selection, installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance of electrical plant and equipment used in water treatment and distribution and wastewater treatment, sludge treatment and final effluent conveyance.
KEY RESULT AREAS
• Monitoring and analysis of the HW energy consumption.
• Preparation technical specifications and designs for electrical plant and equipment to ZETDC and International electrical standards.
• Promotes adherence to safety regulations in order to protect assets and employees from hazards related to electricity.
• Supervision and Performance Management.
• Maintenance (re)engineering.
• Planned Maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Industrial attachment in a relevant field
• Will receive structured on-the-job training.
• Knowledge of electrical motors and power systems.
• Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Access, Power point, Ms Projects and AUTOCAD.
