Freda Rebecca Gold Mine has six (6) vacancies for Electricians who will be reporting to the Electrical Foreman in the Underground Engineering Department
Duties and responsibilities
Switching and servicing high voltage equipment. Performing scheduled maintenance, statutory testing and inspections on substation equipment. Installing underground electrical reticulation. Installation and maintenance of crushers, conveyors, vibrating screens and overhead cranes circuits. Installation and maintenance of ventilation fans, pumps, drill rigs and overhead lines. Attending to all electrical breakdowns
Qualifications and Experience
Class 1 Electrician / National Certificate in Electrical Engineering. At least 3 years’ experience in mining industry. High Voltage 33KV Switching certificate. Ht cable jointing and termination certificate. Experience in drill rigs (Sandvik DD210). Experience in PLCs, VSDs and soft-starters. Experience in diesel generators. Should have sound knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
