Key Responsibilities

Ensuring plant functionality by carrying out breakdowns or preventive maintenance to the set standards.
Ensuring machinery is free of faults by assessing machinery and identifying possible solutions.
Minimizing down time by swiftly attending to machinery breakdowns.
Complying with the checklist through daily routine checks.
Determining the root cause of any break downs by investigating all breakdowns and give feedback to any responsible foreman.
Ensuring new equipment fits in by installing and commissioning new equipment.
Refurbishing old equipment.
Ensuring all needed tools are available by requesting for all electrical spare necessities.
Installing and repairing lighting fixtures, electrical control and distribution equipment.
Implementing plant electrical modifications.

Requirements

National Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering.
Trade test Journeyman Class 1 certification.
At least 2 years’ relevant experience.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints
