Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plant maintenance on all electrical and power systems according to the PZL Computerised Maintenance Management System
  • Participate in the design, specification, implementation and management of engineering projects.
  • Repair and maintenance of Cathodic Protection Systems for pipelines and equipment
  • Assist in providing bids specifications and takes part in bid evaluation in electrical procurement.
  • 33kV/11kV switching of on-site substations
  • Ensure equipment compliance to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) ISO Standards and participate in plant and SHEQ audits.
  • Supervise workshop assistant staff and external contractors.

Requirements

  • Apprenticeship Trained Electrician – Class 1
  • Clean Class 4 driver’s licence
  • Valid Professional Registration to any recognised body is an added advantage
  • Minimum 7 years post qualification electrical experience in related industries preferably in the energy sector (up to 33kV)
  • Knowledge of pipeline Cathodic Protection systems installation and maintenance
  • Working knowledge with Siemens PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, Soft Starters and UPS systems
  • General knowledge in other Engineering disciplines is an added advantage.
  • Experience with Fuel level measuring equipment and Electronic Metering systems and calibrations
  • Proficient in Solar Systems installation and maintenance
  • Awareness of Electrical and Petroleum industry standards and requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards 14001, 45001, 9001
  • Computer literacy is a must with experience in Computerised Maintenance Systems
