Key Responsibilities
- Servicing the Housing, Community and Social Services Committee
- Provision of sound social services and Amenities in the District.
- Provision of sound supervision of operations of Council Schools and Clinics within Shurugwi District
- Management of Urban and communal land in Council’s area
- Management of the district Housing Sector and Townships Management
- Co-ordination of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activities.
- Co-ordination and supervision of the NGOs activities in Council’s area of jurisdiction
- Servicing of the Council Housing Community and Social Services.
- Departmental Budget preparation, implementation and Monitoring.
- Formulation, review and implementation of Departmental Standard Operating Policies and or Procedures
- Coordination of Junior Councils and MP activities
- Any other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer
- Disability Mainstreaming and Disaster Management of safety nets programmes
- Maintenance of recreational facilities
- Any other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer
Requirements
- At least 30 years of age
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Local Governance, Administration, Development Studies, Property Management Estate Management or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
- A relevant Master’s Degree is an added advantage
- Knowledge in housing packages
- A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in middle management position in an administrative or social science position.
- Local Government experience is an added advantage
- A clean record of service within local government environment fraternity
- No criminal record
- Medical Examination report
- Citizen of Zimbabwe
- A clean Class 4 Driver’s License is a must
